Since the housing system reform, urban households in China have changed from renting public housing to diversified housing sources and property rights in the planned economy period, and a higher proportion of urban households have multiple housing units. China's unique housing system, housing culture and tax policy are the causes of multi-housing consumption, and the spatial pattern is different from that of the West.
