This book is about the international experience of reviewing and comparing affordable housing policies. We believe that governments have been involved in the housing sector since the end of the 19th century, and various measures have been tried in various countries and regions to improve the housing affordability of households, improve housing conditions and improve housing inequality. Different regions, different historical periods of the formation of the policy model and policy tools for China to improve the market economy to adapt to the system of affordable housing policy system provides a rich reference. The effect of these policy instruments and the problems in the implementation process, especially the legal, administrative system, finance and taxation, financial and other institutional obstacles on the impact of housing policy implementation. Our objective evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of various policy tools and in China provide a useful lesson. More importantly, countries and regions in the various historical periods to select specific policy instruments, and its specific housing and urban development issues facing the macroeconomic environment is closely related to the mainstream policy of different periods of policy impact.
