概 要:
Chinese cities have been undergoing significant transformation in the recent decades because of deepened market reforms and increased interaction with the forces of globalization. Formerly considered as the site of extensive industrialization in response to the ideological and strategic imperatives of socialist regime under Maoist era, cities in China have since the 1990s become the center of pervasive and rampant process of land (re)development and the theatre in which the 'game' of landed-property production and capital circulation is perennially played out, mainly as a response to the urban land reform and the gradual emergence of urban land and housing market.
