Against the backdrop of the "dual carbon" strategic goals, promoting cities toward low-carbon development has become a global consensus. How to achieve green transformation and build livable, sustainable cities has become an important issue faced jointly by policymakers, urban governors, and professionals in the planning field. This special conference on "Low-Carbon City Development and Planning" will focus on multiple dimensions including policy, space, and transportation, building an interdisciplinary and cross-sector exchange platform to explore diverse paths and innovative practices for low-carbon urban development.
This forum has specially invited four experts who have long been deeply involved in the low-carbon field to deliver keynote speeches:
Zhang Chun, Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University: Starting from the development of inclusive cities, discussing systematic carbon reduction strategies under multi-stakeholder collaboration mechanisms.
Lu Qiuyang, Senior Transportation Engineer at the Institute for Transport and Development Policy (ITDP): Focusing on practical pathways for low-carbon travel in developing countries, analyzing how micro-mobility tools can support the green transition.
Liang Xiaohong, Senior Engineer at Beijing Transportation Development Research Institute: Sharing the practical experience and achievements of Beijing Sub-center in green transportation and comprehensive carbon reduction.
Liu Jingyi, Policy Researcher at the Center for Urban Development and Land Policy Research, Lincoln Institute, Peking University: Exploring the balancing mechanism between renewable energy layout and urban planning from a land policy perspective.
