In December 2023, Associate Professor Mao Xiyan of Nanjing University and Professor He Canfei, Dean of the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences at Peking University, Peking University Boya Distinguished Professor, and Director of the Ministry of Education's Geographical Science Teaching Steering Committee, jointly published an article titled "New Narratives of Economic Globalization and New Trends in the Development of Economic Geography in China" in the Journal of Geography. The article analyzes the geographical connotations of economic globalization transformation, summarizes new changes in economic geography, and, in conjunction with national strategies, raises questions that China's economic geography should study in depth.
