As China's economy and society continue to develop, the status and role of nature conservation and ecological civilization construction are becoming increasingly important. Currently, China still faces many challenges in the construction and practice of nature reserves. To promote a better understanding of the theories and practices in this field among academia and industry practitioners and to seek solutions to challenges, the Center for Urban Development and Land Policy Research (PLC) at Peking University-Lincoln Institute, together with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the Nature Conservation Center, and the Institute for Global Environmental Studies (GEI), is jointly hosting the summer academic exchange workshop "Nature Conservation Policies, Methods, and Practices in the Urbanization Process" (see detailed agenda below). The event is tentatively scheduled for July 9-14, 2023, in Huizhou District, Huangshan City. Interested individuals are welcome to fill out the questionnaire and sign up.
Researchers from domestic universities and research institutions, practitioners in related fields, and corporate leaders of ESG and sustainable development projects. Generally, a doctoral or master's degree is required, and outstanding candidates may have relaxed academic requirements. A small number of slots are allocated to senior doctoral students engaged in research in related fields.
