The Peking University–Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy (PKU-Lincoln Center) was jointly founded by Peking University and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy (USA) in 2007. As a non-profit educational research institute and think tank, it commits to advancing academic research and talent cultivation related to China’s urban development and land policies. Job Description
The postdoctoral position is affiliated with the School of Urban and Environmental Sciences, Peking University.
Conduct research and publish academic outputs in relevant fields.
Assist the PKU-Lincoln Center with other research, publication, conference and project activities.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree from top-tier domestic or overseas universities, be under 35 years of age, and have graduated within the past three years.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Prior research experience and proven academic achievements in China’s land policy, public finance, housing policy, sustainable development, urbanisation or environmental policy.
Strong quantitative empirical analysis capabilities.
Proficient academic writing in both Chinese and English.
Annual Salary & Benefits
Pre-tax annual salary no less than RMB 180,000. Children are eligible for admission to Peking University Affiliated Kindergarten and Primary School.
Supplementary notes on benefits:
Base annual salary starts at RMB 120,000. Outstanding candidates may be recommended to apply for Peking University’s Boya Postdoctoral Program, with a base annual salary starting at RMB 200,000.
Access to university postdoctoral apartments or an annual housing rental subsidy of RMB 60,000.
National annual housing subsidy of RMB 12,000 (cash allowance, no property entitlement).
Full social insurance, housing fund and public medical care coverage.
Eligible candidates may transfer household registration and personal files to Beijing; children can transfer to Peking University Affiliated Kindergarten, Primary School or Junior High School.
Financial support for domestic and international academic conferences and overseas exchange visits; assistance with applications for postdoctoral grants or National Natural Science Foundation projects.
