The Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy organizes a number of academic activities, like conferences, trainings, and seminars, for capacity building in land policy and administration.

TRAINING THE TRAINERS

Over the past four decades, China’s urban spatial development has been dominated by urban sprawl. With the implementation of the New-Type Urbanization and Ecological Civilization strategies, urban renewal has emerged as an alternative primary model of urban spatial development for an increasing number of cities. Research and experience summarization on the theory and practice of urban renewal are thriving. To meet the learning demands of young scholars from universities, research institutions and industry practitioners, the Peking University–Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy (PKU-Lincoln Center) and the Future City Laboratory (Shenzhen), Peking University will jointly host the Summer Academic Workshop on Theory and Practice of Urban Renewal from July 24 to 31, 2022 (agenda attached below). We now invite young scholars from domestic universities, research institutes, enterprises and public institutions engaged in relevant fields to apply for participation.
