2021-2022 Research Grants

To support research in the fields of China’s urbanization, urban land use, housing policies, local public finance, ecological and environmental protection, and natural resource management, the Peking University-Lincoln Center launches the 15th Research Grant Program.
The Center always advocates empirical research grounded in theoretical analysis. This year, priority will be given to research topics closely related to urban renewal, spatial planning, healthy cities, housing for low-income urban households, policies on ecological resource conservation, as well as the application of big data in the above fields.
Applicants shall be researchers engaged in relevant studies at domestic universities and research institutions. Candidates who obtained their doctoral degrees within the past five years will be given preference.
In addition, 2 to 5 grant slots are reserved exclusively for applicants from central and western regions of China.
The grant period lasts for one year, with a funding amount of 80,000 RMB per project.

2021-2022 Thesis Scholarships

Applications are now open for the 17th Thesis Scholarship Program of the Peking University-Lincoln Center.
Applicants must be full-time master’s or doctoral students enrolled at domestic universities, expecting to graduate in the summer of 2022. Their thesis proposals must be formally approved at the time of application, and applicants are required to submit a proposal certification signed by their supervisors.
Eligible research areas include urban economics, land policy, territorial spatial planning, public finance, housing policy, environmental policy and healthy cities.
The scholarship covers a one-year period. The funding is 40,000 RMB for doctoral theses and 30,000 RMB for master’s theses.
