To support research in areas such as urban economic development in China, urban and rural land use, housing policy, local finance, ecological environment protection, and natural resource management, the Peking University-Lincoln Center will launch the 18th Research Fund Project.
The Peking University-Lincoln Center has consistently emphasized empirical research based on theoretical analysis. This year's research topics include but are not limited to the following fields:
· Urban land use and carbon reduction
· Urban system development and spatial planning
· Urban fiscal sustainability
· Urban renewal
· Housing for low-income urban families
· Ecological protection and natural resource management
· Applications of big data in the above fields
Applicants must be staff engaged in research in the above fields at domestic universities and research institutions, and must have obtained their doctoral degree no earlier than January 1, 2019. To ensure more young researchers have the opportunity to receive research funding, applicants who have previously received funding from this program will not be considered.
Additionally, this year's research funding projects will specifically offer 2-5 places to applicants from the Western region.
The project funding period is one year, with a funding amount of 80,000 RMB.
