Fellowship Notice

The Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy Research (hereinafter referred to as the "Peking University-Lincoln Center") was jointly established by Peking University and the Lincoln Institute for Land Policy, carrying out talent cultivation and policy research.


To encourage and support Peking University undergraduates in research activities related to urban development and land policy, the "Peking University-Lincoln Center Peking University Undergraduate Research Fund" has been established. This project will continue to fund Peking University undergraduate graduating students in scientific research in areas such as urban and regional development, spatial planning, land management and policy, housing policy, local finance, and environmental policy, with a funding amount of 5,000 yuan per person.



Applicant qualifications

1. Students in the officially registered bachelor's graduating class of related majors at Peking University (expected to graduate in July 2022).

2. Possess strong independent research capabilities.


Application report requirements

1. Project title, research significance, content, research objectives, and the policy issues to be addressed.

2. Research methods.

3. Features and innovations of this project.

4. Schedule arrangement, budget estimate, and expected research outcomes.

5. The application report should be about 3,000 words. The application form can be requested by emailing jint@pku.edu.cn.


Evaluation Principles

The "Peking University-Lincoln Center Peking University Undergraduate Research Fund" will adhere to the principles of "fairness, impartiality, and openness," organizing experts to review the application reports.

1. The research direction should be in urban and regional development, spatial planning, land management and policy, housing policy, local finance, environmental policy, or other fields closely related to these areas.

2. The applicant's academic background and potential.


Application procedure

1. Applicants must send their application reports to the jint@pku.edu.cn by April 15, 2022.

2. The evaluation results will be announced on the Peking University-Lincoln Center WeChat public account before April 30, 2022, and applicants will be notified via email.

3. In early May 2022, Peking University-Lincoln Center will sign project agreements with students funded by the Grant.


Reporting requirements

Funded students should submit a complete research report within the specified timeframe, which should include the following content:

1. Introduction

2. A review of research in related fields both domestically and internationally

3. Design of research theories and methods

4. Data sources and their explanations

5. Analyze results and discussion

6. Policy discussion of research topics

7. Conclusion


Management Measures

1. Students receiving funding will be supervised by the Peking University-Lincoln Center, maintaining close contact and communication with the center and reporting research progress in a timely manner.

2. The final results of the project must be submitted to Peking University-Lincoln Center by June 15, 2022.

3. Any academic paper written and published under the support of the "Peking University-Lincoln Center Peking University Undergraduate Research Fund" must indicate "Peking University-Lincoln Center Peking University Undergraduate Research Fund."

4. The final interpretation rights of the "Peking University-Lincoln Center Peking University Undergraduate Research Fund" belong to the Peking University-Lincoln Center.
