2022-2023 Research Fund


To support research in China's urbanization, urban land use, housing policy, local finance, ecological environment protection, and natural resource management, the Peking University-Lincoln Center will launch the 16th Research Fund Project.


The Peking University-Lincoln Center has consistently emphasized empirical research based on theoretical analysis. This year's research topics include but are not limited to the following fields:

▪ Urban renewal

▪ Spatial planning

▪ Healthy cities

▪ Housing for low-income urban families

▪ Ecological resource protection

▪ Land use and climate change

▪ Applications of big data in the above fields


Applicants must be staff engaged in research in the above fields at domestic universities and research institutions, and must have obtained their doctoral degree no earlier than January 1, 2017. To ensure more young researchers have the opportunity to receive research funding, applicants who have previously received funding from this program will not be considered.


Additionally, this year's research funding projects will specifically offer 2-5 places to applicants from the Western region.


The project funding period is one year, with a funding amount of 80,000 RMB.



2022-2023 Thesis Scholarship


Applications for the 18th Peking University-Lincoln Center Thesis Scholarship Program are now open. Applicants must be full-time master's or doctoral students studying at domestic universities (expected to graduate in the summer of 2023). At the time of application, the thesis must have been officially proposed (applicants must provide a proposal certificate signed by their supervisor). His dissertation research focuses on urban economics, land policy, territorial spatial planning, public finance, housing policy, environmental policy, and healthy cities.


The funding period for the project is one year, with a doctoral dissertation funding of 40,000 RMB and a master's thesis funding of 30,000 RMB.
