2020-2021 Research Fund
To support research in fields such as China's urbanization, urban land use, housing policy, local public finance, ecological environmental protection, and natural resource management, the Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center will launch its 14th Research Fund program.
The Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center has always emphasized empirical research based on theoretical analysis. This year, special attention will be given to research topics closely related to urban renewal, housing for low-income urban families, and ecological resource conservation policies. Applicants must be staff members engaged in research in the aforementioned fields at domestic universities and research institutions. Applicants who have obtained their doctoral degrees within the past five years will be given priority.
In addition, this year's Research Fund program will specifically allocate 2 to 5 slots for applicants from the central and western regions of China.
The funding period is one year, with a grant amount of RMB 80,000.
2020-2021 Thesis and Dissertation Fellowship
The Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center is now accepting applications for its 16th Thesis and Dissertation Fellowship program. Applicants must be full-time master's or doctoral students enrolled at domestic universities (expected to graduate in the summer of 2021). At the time of application, the thesis or dissertation must have been formally proposed, and applicants must provide a proposal approval document signed by their academic advisor. Research areas for the thesis or dissertation include urban economics, land use policy, urban and regional planning, public finance and property taxation, urban transportation, housing policy, environmental policy, and sustainable development.
The funding period is one year. The grant amount is RMB 40,000 for doctoral dissertations and RMB 30,000 for master's theses.
