TRAINING THE TRAINERS
Low-carbon transportation constitutes a long-term initiative aligned with both the UN Global Development Initiative and China’s Dual Carbon Goals, covering key analytical tools including low-carbon planning, fiscal sustainability and future mobility. To cater to the learning demands of young scholars from universities and research institutions as well as industry practitioners, the Peking University–Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy and the School of Traffic and Transportation, Lanzhou Jiaotong University will jointly host the Summer Workshop titled Low-Carbon Transportation and Future Cities on the campus of Lanzhou Jiaotong University in Lanzhou from July 21 to 25, 2025 (check-in date: July 20).
This workshop will feature expert lectures to deliver in-depth insights into cutting-edge research and latest practices in international low-carbon transportation and future cities, field visits to low-carbon urban planning projects in Lanzhou, and interactive roundtable discussions with specialists.

Eligible Participants

Researchers from domestic universities and research institutions, industry practitioners in relevant fields, and corporate persons in charge of ESG and sustainable development projects. Applicants are generally required to hold a master’s or doctoral degree; exceptions may be made for exceptionally outstanding candidates. A small number of places are reserved for senior PhD students conducting relevant research.

No registration fee or workshop fee. Participants shall cover their own travel, accommodation and catering expenses.
