概 要:
Over the last three decades, China has undertaken a transition from a planned economy towards a market economy, which has resulted in profound changes in society (Ma, 2002). Housing reform in urban China is a crucial part of institutional transition, and it aims to introduce market mechanisms into a previously welfare-oriented system (Wang and Murie, 2000). China’s starting point in terms of housing reform is very different from western countries. For example, the Danwei was the traditional form of residential space for decades, but it is not easy to dismantle Danwei’s influence immediately during housing transition.
