概     要:

The rise of community participation is premised upon the perceived benefits that
participation brings to community programs in terms of added efficiency,
sustainability, and the collective community power. Acting as a catalyst, social
workers mobilize community members to join together and move from personal
social concerns to collective concerns via organized community actions. Therefore,
knowledge about who is more likely to participate and what triggers participation is
critical for effective practice. Mobilization factors and participation behavior
vary by country and culture. The main objective of this study is to identify
communitymobilization factors in China and their influence over people’s
participatory behavior. This case study investigates these questions in an
urban community in China.
